1990 Honda Civic DX hatchback back-side window part?

Ok, I've been looking up proper terminology for these parts, and I'm coming up empty after sifting through a ton of parts sites. I have a 1990 Civic HB, and I'm looking for the plastic clip piece that connects to the back-side (elongated) windows. I've always just called them "wing windows" - ya know, with the metal extender arms to prop them open to allow airflow from the front of the vehicle while driving?... What I need is the plastic part/lock that locks the window in opened/closed positions on the arm-hinge. As it stands, I have no tension keeping the window in place while driving, so it can swing fully out indefinitely until it breaks loose from the vehicle - and it doesn't have any tension to keep rain water out, Anyone have any idea what the official name for that part is? I really need to get that fixed before I drive too much. I have a ribbon tying it to the vehicle as a temporary "right now fix" - and I really don't want to resort to duct taping the window shut hah.

Im sick of being psychologically abused and cheated by my parents. Im lied to day after day. My parents fail to keep promises, and when I express my feelings that what they have done makes me upset, they think its a joke, no matter how serious I am. They either tell me to shut up and do some mindless chore for them, or they laugh and ignore me. They don't care! My dad died when I was 9 and im 16 now. On fathers day, I had to buy a card for my step-dad and some flowers for my Grandfathers grave who passed away 20 years ago. My Mom and Step-dad both cried and made this huge ordeal that seemed so fake to me, like it was a movie. Then when I ask to go to my Fathers grave my Mom says, "No, you need to get home and clean out my car." My parents claim that us children are the reason the house is a mess, when in actuality my Mom causes at least 95% of those messes. But funny enough, they don't ask my older sister to clean it up. They don't ask my younger brother to clean it up. I must clean it up. When my siblings are home with my mom, and I am at my first job, they will literally wait all day for me to get home to clean up, instead of making my siblings do it. My Step-dad just absolutely hates me. He hit me in the groin so hard once, that I threw up. I later got in trouble for walking funny because my balls hurt and I told them why, and they just laughed. Here is what happened, i drove on a road that had a maximum speed limit of 60 km/h, i maintained a proper speed that was under 60 km/h and once i seen construction ahead i used my breaks to slow down. They also mentioned i have to do my inspection for my brakes, and once i do that i gotta get the guy that done it for me to tell the cops what happened and why in order to keep my license. What will I need to get for a good car stereo?

I could go into a long lecture on how wattage and sensitivity affects subs/speakers, but its long and confusing so I'll keep it simple. channels are the outputs for speakers. a channel is constructed of a negative and positive outputs for speakers. here is my best advice 1st off, go with a good brand and stick with it, i only run memphis audio products in my cars because thats what i started out on and i know its reliable.also remember there are reasons why when you hear car audio the first things to mind are jl, alpine, memphis car audio, kicker, ect.. its because theyve proved themselves to be good and you can never really go wrong buying their product. you have so many options as far as running amps so i know how it can get confusing, but its all on your preference and what you want to spend. First option is simple, go with a monoblock amp for your subs (monoblock has one channel), and a 4 channel for your speakers to run off of. Your next option could be a 4 channel only, 2 of the channels to run subs off of, and 2 channels to run front speakers off of, and use the head unit to run the rear speakers. next option would to go with a 5 channel amp, which so far i have only seen one quality 5 channel amp which is the memphis audio "belle" and "baby belle". this will give you 1 channel for subs, and 4 for speakers, its like a 4 channel and a monoblock built in to one. the price of one seems expensive, but its 2 amps in one and a very well built amp. wattage does typically seem to matter to most but sensitivity is also needed to take into consideration.sensitivity is the amount of "sound" that speaker will put out on 1w. so lets say you have a sub that can handle 700 watts and has a sensitivity rating of 50db, then you have a speaker that can only handle 500w with a sensitivty rating of 99db. the 500w sub will be louder because it will be a more efficient sub and almost all of the wattage inputted into the sub will be turned into sound. your best option as of now is find a highly rated audio shop in your area and talk prices and options with them. i can type to you all night about setups and options, but a local shop can point you into the right direction and give you the best equipment available in your budget.

Actually i am also in the process of importing a Nissan S-15(Awesome Car). I have been sifting through the paperwork, and there is a lot of it, and have decided to go an alternate route. I was gonna import the car over as a specialty vehicle. Essentially i would import it over as a track car, for track use, therefore all of the safety bull*** wouldn't be necessary. You can put a max of 2k miles on track cars a year. Once i get it here, i am gonna use it on the track, and hopefully the traffic cops dont show up at my door for this, but i was probably gonna drive it on the street a little as well. Remember though, this method makes your car not street legal, as it will only be classified as a track car. The idea you proposed about canada is also really a very good idea. Thanks for the info. concerning the cross-slots on the rear caliper pistons. You need a special inexpensive black hardened tool from NAPA or Carquest for your specific car. It will fit the slots on the piston then can be turned clockwise with a 3/8 ratchet and short extension till it bottoms out inside the brake caliper.

Of that 2000 years, much of that time you were forced to be a christian or die. It has only been the last 300 years that science has really kicked in and helped dispel many superstition of the past. So we are basically waiting for the cycle of being raised christian to end. As more people figure out the flaws of christianity, those people will not raise their children christian. So we still have some generations to go through before christianity becomes a minority religion and possibly fades away as a myth. We know that church attendance is way down and we also know many claim to be christian, whether it be to gain votes, or do business with christians, or possibly just to be left alone from other christians. Christianity has pretty much hit and passed it's peak and is quickly fading from Europe and other parts of the world. America is the last of the developed nations to cling to it, but to be fair we are a very young country compared to the rest of the countries.

The car has 200,000 miles and it would cost about $1250 to fix the headgasket, timing belt, and a few other things (70% chance it's fixable). I'm feel slow and words are hard to retrieve when I write or talk. I barely felt the need to talk to anyone unlike the 1st day where I was compelled to. The connections are good as well. What does the elec. plug for a 2001 Honda Civic EX fuel pump look like?

I am having an issue with it and before I go and get the work done on it (or do it myself) I was wondering what the power connection looked like normally, the power cord that connects directly to the fuel pump (under the backseat). The fuel pump itself has five(5) prongs (3 on top, 2 on bottom) and the plug has the same. But, the plug (from what I can see after disassembly) has 2 on top and 2 on bottom. Makin 4 total, not 5(like the pump itself). And the Fifth hole on the plug has no contact points. It that fifth contact missing or is it supposed to be missing. Why would the pump have 5 and the plug have 4. Please point me in the right direction.

I feel like I am a totally different type of person and there is nobody in my school that is like me. I don't get the teacher's pet award or get the absolute highest grades, but I see myself as far as real world intelligence goes, far superior. In conversation, I will get into a REAL discussion, and everyone else finds those to be boring and there is too much thinking involved. I find those conversations to be the best ones, where you learn from each other through conversation about things in our world. I am an AA heretic looking for deprogramming, where should I go/what should I do?

Too many miles per day?

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex in pretty good condition it has 126,000 miles on it currently but recently this summer i have been driving it allot, like 150-165 miles per day during the week. I took my 98 honda civic automatic to O'reilly auto parts they said my code said catalyst system low?

The wording that comes up on the Honda scanner is Catalytic converter is beyond threshold. In short you need a new catalytic converter...depending on what model civic you have depends on how much your going to pay. If you have a civic EX then the catalytic converter is a stand alone converter and is underneath the car. If the car is not an EX then the catalytic converter is part of the exhaust manifold...ouch this one is the expense one...the most common problem is that the manifold cracks right where the the O2 sensor and is leaking exhaust under the Hood...the problem with this is that when the manifold cracks like that it makes it very difficult to remove the O2 sensors. Yes I sad sensors there are 2 sensors in the manifold and if they cannot be removed due to age and possibly rust then you must replace them with FACTORY PARTS NOT PARTS YOU GET FROM O'REILEYS OR AUTO ZONE. The reason for this is that most aftermarket parts are made to fit a wide range of cars. Well you need one that is made for that car and you can only get that from Honda. If you use an after market O2 sensor it will give all kinds of false codes like fuel metering to lean or rich or another catalytic converter code and will cause drive ability problems. If you have a civic EX you have some options but here is what I would keep in mind. If you decide to get an aftermarket converter make sure it is a direct bolt-on replacement. The biggest problem we find is that if the aftermarket converter doesn't fix the problem the you have to use a factory replacement but when you get an aftermarket converter the usually cut off all the attachment points where the factory replacement will go...so that means replacement of almost the complete exhaust system. And let me tell you that is not cheap...the catalytic converter will run you around $650 plus O2 sensor that run about $250 each plus gaskets oh and by the way scrap metal places will pay about $80 for your old converter so don't leave it behind at the shop...that's free money ...I hope this was helpful ...good luck

Of course at the time Europe was destroyed by WW2 as was Japan. China and Russia manufactured nothing of value. The entire world wanted our high quality, union made, Made in America goods. By the 1980 American corporations found it easier to buy up smaller corporations to increase market share rather than increase production in the US. Ever lower taxes began to degrade our social and physical infrastructure. The ongoing 'Cold War' soaked up billions of dollars as did Vietnam. Japan and Europe began producing high quality goods. American corporations began to move overseas for cheap labor. Union busting was in. Corporations began buying each other up at a faster and faster pace. Trade deals that exported American industries went into high gear because corporations demanded that trade laws favor 'them', not American workers. China came on line and that was it for the American worker who has seen 'capitalism' that worked in his favor, become a form of corporate trans national capitalism that has robbed THIS country blind. 'Free' trade meant that we gave away an economy that favored the American working class for 'free'. Now the corporate capitalists want to reduce ALL pay and benefits all over the world and they have the current GOP/Teabag/Fox 'News'/ Jesus freak party on board to make that happen. A world wide 'middle class' has been created to absorb corporate production, though this process has reduced the 'American' middle class. When I didn't answer she left a voicemail, a text, and then sent me a msg on facebook saying that's she's sorry if she woke me up but she "really needs someone to talk to right now"....I don't feel bad about not answering, but a part of me still wonders if that was the best thing to do. Basically and Importer buys a Product abroad, send the documents to us and we do the Customs Entry and arrange delivery of goods. This is how it works for all customers...except one. For this customer, the EXPORTER who the Importer buys from stays in possession of the goods until they send us a RELEASE EMAIL to auhthorise us to do the delivery. We are not to deliver until the Exporter in NZ says so. I have been told by my Manager that if I was to ever deliver one of these containers without permission from the NZ Company (say I just simply forgot...this is the only one of our customers that works this way...and i am fairly new), I would be instantly sacked for GROSS MISCONDUCT and could go to Prison. Is he exaggerating and if not would I be charged with? Surely I can refuse to deal with this particular company...having said that, am I correct in thinking I have no rights until I have been employed by an employer for at least 12 months? Any ideas??

Problem is that i went to go switch the title of the car to my name from the previous owner, and they told me that the car was a parts car or needed to be demolished. Compressor ran and condensor fan ran and no blown fuse.. So i checked to see if it was cold inside car and it was all warm air blowing.. I touched high line and it was extremely hot and I touch low line and it was warmer than it was to start off.. So everything was still running and I thought maybe I had to much refrigerant so i turned off ac and bled a little off not even for 5 to 10 seconds.. I could tell there was not too much pressure so i remember i had the gauge to add refrigerant so i hooked it up on low side and it showed 25 pounds which is right on the line that says low and filled.. So i tryed to start ac and see if this number would change and when i turned on ac the compressor would not run but the condensor fan was still running and the fuse was not blown.. A little help please...

Car was damaged while at automobile shop getting worked on...?

I just received a phone call regarding my car being damaged while it was at the automobile repair shop. I have a 5 speed civic with an automatic start button on the remote. I told the employees that yesterday we accidentally pushed the button and the car started and drove itself into the bumper of a van. (it was in 1st gear with the emergency brake up). I told the technician to be careful and not press the automatic start button. I received a phone call stating that the technician supposedly just pressed the unlock button on the remote and the car started and drove itself over the parking stopper (cement) and into a cement flower bed. There is damage to the car (deep scratches on the front bumper). Do I have any chance of the automobile center to pay for the repair of my bumper? Has anyone heard of this happening before?

1993 Honda Civic Seat Cover Recommendations?

Just bought a 93 Honda Civic sedan last week (it's either an LX or DX model) where the headrest is above the seat with a plastic 'arm' connecting it to the back of the seat. I'm looking for some seat covers for it that hair doesn't stick to. I know the wetsuit material sticks the hair to it like glue. So far I have changed the thermostat and have had the fan fixed because there was a delay in turning on. Also, brand spanking new battery, if that makes a difference. While driving on highway it doesn't really overheat too much. It's more while sitting in traffic that the temperature starts to go up. I'm not sure what else could be the problem and when I took it to the mechanic he couldn't figure it out either. There is no leak, when I open the radiator cap there is fluid in the radiator and there is plenty of fluid in the reservoir. I absolutely cannot afford a new car so fixing this issue is an absolute MUST. Please someone help me!!!

I really doubt it is bad spark plugs. Usually when there is a bad spark plug you will get an engine misfire which will set a code. You would also notice other problems, like your engine shaking and your check engine light on. It is possible that your spark plugs caused this but not likely. It is probably more like a fuel system problem...like maybe your car isn't getting enough fuel because of a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump. There are a lot of other things that could be the cause too.

After searching auto zone, there is no listing for an MAF. so i would conclude that the vehicle is not equiped for one. so, on with it. 1st, check the ECM fuses and replace as needed. 2nd, check the ALDL connecter for damaged wires all the way to the computer. if your scan tool still wont communicate, you may need to change the computer. it may have been damaged when the car was stolen. you must be able to communicate with the computer in order to fix certain issues. last but not least, if your vehicle is equiped with a anti theft system, it could lock out the computer. check to see if your anti theft light is on or flashing with the engine running. if so, you will need to take the vehicle to the dealer for that issue.

Necchi Sewing Machine Model No. 50910225T instructions?

I have this sewing machine model and am unable to attach the pressure foot to the machine in order to sew. It has a special 'foot' that is in 2 pieces and one must fit into the stem and snap shut but I am unable to attach it and without the foot installed the machine is worthless. There are NO INSTRUCTION MANUALS WITH IT and I have been unable to get any help on line from the Sewing Machine company importers who sell it in the U.S. Desperate!

Could any of U fans of this sort of music list some bands that are similar to the description I provided? I'm mainly looking for this type of music but with a vocalist that actually somewhat SINGS to the music instead of the raspy/phlegmy growling/screaming in the background. I like to at least understand some of the words they're saying. It depends, but my opinion is that you started with kinda hard books for a person that hasn't spent time reading. I would recommend Ender's game by Orson Scott Card as it's a wonderful fictional book for new readers. I know this on my own experience. everyone is right... it will cost some money. i do know that greddy makes a turbo kit for your car for $2500.. but that doesn't include your tune, and wastegate, etc. My previous car was a 93 si, with 210,000 miles on it. I did turbo it and it lasted 2 years, but if it was up to me to go back i would have never done it. i loved that car and the turbo ruined it. If your car is perfect i would keep it how it is. if you wanna do anything to it then just do a mini me swap. Put a z6 head on your current block. but good luck! Think it through

Head unit- pioneer 6000ub has lots of controls for tuning i have had the 3000, 4000, and 6000, all three were great and held up very well only complaint is the silver color wearing off after about a year but if you use the remote you dont have that problem. Whatever speakers you get get the sub to match. Most brands range evenly from tweets to sub ( like if you had pioneer speakers with kicker subs it would be too much bass with little clarity. also i reccomend 1 sub if you go 12" and put the proper amp to it- (my 04 civic) 1 Alpine 12" powered by 500 rms Autotek amp All high quality wiring( that matters alot)

OK dog lovers, help this non-dog person pick a breed?

I generally dislike dogs as pets - but that's mostly because my family insists on little yip dogs that bear no resemblance whatsoever to their wolf ancestors. So, I may want to get a dog for my kids - and tiny, mindless yapping things are out of the question. What I need is something medium-sized, smart, tolerant of kids and cats, obedient (I know, this is up to me, but some breeds are better than others), quiet - or at least not prone by breed to bark incessantly or with a high pitch that makes you want go insane, and preferably handsome in wolfish manner (but not absolutely necessary if it has all the other things). Not a big shedder would be good too. Does such a beast exist? Should I just stick with cats and tell the kids they can have a pet turtle instead? I'd prefer to get something from a shelter and rescue an animal in need - but I realize that may not be possible if I want this mythological ideal breed. I hear Blue Heelers are cool. Anyone got a suggestion for me?

Of course they're bitching about spending money that wouldn't be necessary. I'd likely do the same. It's hard to convey that you have to save money if you spend even more money on countries that just didn't do their homework. But Germany has a pretty strong commitment to the EU and as long as they can afford it that's unlikely to change. The EU is the biggest market in the world. Germany would need a lot more reasons to leave that than just being held liable for a broke Greece.
