Should Christians be watching mindless gore and horror movies?

Seriously, the christians practically invented mindless gore and horror. Just have a look at history.(the crusades, african slavery, abomination of aboriginal land and culture, colonial conquets, the bible!! etc etc etc) Christianity is responsible for hundreds of millions of deaths and bloodshed in the name of....? ps: using the word Retarded (even to describe a cartoon charatcter) is offensive to people with intellectual disabilities.
