MOm won't let me buy a car?

Okay so I have 1.3k for a car, I'm 17, girl and found the right and pratical car for myself...I am a HUGE gear head so don't tell me that I'm buying a car for looks..it's a 92' Honda civic 90k miles and 1k. It's perfectly sound, it's just an old car. However my mom is not letting me even think about it..the car is literally down my street, can I just buy it without her okay? It's my hard earned money, not hers!
