Is it possible to trade in a car if the car you trade in hasn't been paid off completely?

I want to trade my 2008 civic for a camero. My car is still in pretty good shape. 40,000 miles but I have about $10,000 left to pay. Is it possible to trade it and if it is...how does it work?
