How do you add photos to Photoshop Elements 9?

I just installed the trial version and I am not impressed. I cannot even find the help button! I told it to search all drives for photos and when over 58,000 showed up I should have known there was a problem...after 2 hours it was only 7% done, so I stopped it. Why does the importer import songs?? Now, I cannot figure out how to import anything at all. Where is the button or menu that allows you to search specific folders for photos? Where is the help button?
